Upon reading this title, you may expect a verse reference from Revelation. Good guess, but wrong.
Daniel? Nope.
Isaiah? Nope.
Acts?!? Nope.
Right when you least expected it, I’m pulling out a verse reference from Mark.
Yep, one of the Gospels.
You’ll soon find out that this is not an end-times conspiracy post – this is truth, straight out of Mark’s Gospel, highlighted in red, and one of the most compelling verses for today’s remnant.
And the passage I’ve devoted my life to sharing.
The Great Commission? Ding ding ding!
Now, we’ve already examined Matthew’s recording of the Great Commission numerous times – but Mark? Why’s he different?
Let’s read in the HCSB: 15 Then He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages; 18 they will pick up snakes;[a] if they should drink anything deadly, it will never harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.”
You know what my favorite part of this passage is?
(This part appears in most other versions as well – so read along in your favorite Bible)
“These signs WILL accompany those who believe”
Not that they “should” accompany those who believe.
Not that they “can” accompany those who believe.
Not that they “may” accompany those who believe.
They will!
Ask yourself: Are these signs accompanying you?
