I am so incredibly blessed to be able to announce that this is the anniversary of my second year blogging! The Lord has whisked me on a crazy-amazing journey in these last two years. In fact, it feels like so much longer than two years! In a blogging aspect, I believe I have personally grown …

Your Responsibility as a Christian Parent
In conjunction with a number of other blogging friends of mine, I’m briefly writing on the topic of homeschooling – since a homeschool upbringing is one thing I and these particular friends happen to have in common. “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is […] …
God Is Good
There is a very common Christian cliché circulating among churches, small groups, and others: "God is good." And yes, God is good. But there is one problem with this quote: our definition of good. Our definition of good can apply to the decent, okay, or even mediocre things of life - think ice cream, TV …
Georgia!
Hey everyone! (Did I seriously just greet you without an "Hola!" or a "y'all"?) Well, anyways, life's been interesting lately! I've been fiddling around with a few chords on my old guitar, and learning some worship songs on the piano. And we've been seeing many old friends! If you are one of our friends in …
Road Trip Update
Hello, hello! As I posted a few days ago, we are currently on our way from South Dakota to Georgia. We have safely journeyed from South Dakota to Illinois, which is where I'm posting from. The Lord has blessed our journey so much already, and it is so exciting to be a part of such …
“Supporting the Mission” + Worshipping the Vessel
Some thoughts from my dad from several months ago 🙂
Hey y’all! It’s time for more revelation from the Holy Spirit… This time, instead of me writing it, it’s actually from my dad’s Facebook post – it was just so good, I couldn’t resist sharing here on Elle Everyday. It’s kind of a 2-in-1 post, but they go together so well it’s not worth separating them. I pray you’re blessed and inspired by this – remember: it’s your call to “go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all nations.” It’s time for you to step on the scene!!
When did Paul or any of the early followers of Jesus Christ (ekklesia) come off their “mission field” to raise support??? Or, when did they leave their calling or assignment to go to another country, people group, or reach out under the pretense to raise support so they could build buildings in order to run their race?
I haven’t…

Learning to Love and Forgive the Unloveables
Jesus died for us because He loves us; not because we loved Him and He felt we deserved it. And we, too, should be able and willing to lay our lives down for the sake of not just fellow believers - but others as well. When we persecuted Him, He called out to us, showed …

5 Things to Remind Yourself Every Day
Great thoughts!
Life can be hard, but it’s even harder when you go into it with the wrong mindset. Here are 5 things to remind yourself every day!
1. It’s not about you
Yea, yea, I’m sure you’ve heard this before. Nevertheless, it’s an important reminder to look for opportunities to serve, regardless of whether it inconveniences us or gets in the way of our own objectives.
Furthermore, I want to stress that just because “It’s not about you;” that doesn’t mean it’s about other people!
It’s not about them either; it’s all about imaging God on this earth and in accordance with that command, we must serve one another.
2. Worth, not worthy
This one might not make sense to you, but let me explain.
The self-esteem movement has become quite prominent in the last decade and with it has brought some very deceptive messages.
One of which is that we are…
