One Year of Ministering Internationally

Today is the one-year anniversary of our flight to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which was our connector to Managua, Nicaragua and which marked the beginning of our full-time international ministry.

Words cannot describe this last year of my life, in which I was privileged to meet so many wonderful and godly friends and to minister the truth to so many people of so many nationalities.

I truly count myself blessed to have experienced this last year of ministry worldwide. I’ve been in three countries in the last year alone, and had the honor of personally meeting people from everywhere from Mongolia to Costa Rica to a First Nations reserve in Canada (to a lot of other places). And that’s not to mention the people I’ve met through my blog, who are from everywhere from Wales to India.

I don’t say this to boast in my own self or my travels, but to give glory to God for sustaining my family and I through many pitfalls and setbacks. Every time we looked at the storm and saw water beneath our feet, and began to doubt, He would always answer when we cried out.

There’s been times we attempted to take matters into our own hands, but when our backs collapsed from the weight, we cried out to Jesus – who, despite our “independence”, was always consistently there, waiting for us to cry out to Him to take our burdens.

Also, I figure I’m overdue to give y’all an update on life and such, so I’ll make that quick (in theory) 🙂

I’m feeling better every day, but still not 100%. As for the tachycardia (medical word for high heart rate – don’t you just love long medical words?) I was experiencing, I went to the cardiologist for a one-month follow-up and they said I’m doing well, and there’s no need for any great concern, though I am going back for another follow-up in two months.

I do, however, have to have a stress test in two days, which I’m not particularly thrilled about. I have been having to remind myself to be optimistic about that quite a lot. (Thank you, Jesus)

The doctor, who ran out of tests for flu, thinks my dad got it. So he’s been recovering from all that crud, which wiped him out quite thoroughly starting Saturday night. He’s feeling better now, but still needs prayers.

Meanwhile, my mom isn’t doing too great either, but I’ll get into that some other day, maybe 🙂

I hope y’all are doing great, and God bless!

  1. Hi!
It’s so great seeing someone as young as you do on fire for YAH!
May He keep fanning the flame that is in you.
He has so much in store for you.
I pray healing for your whole family. No weapon formed against you will prosper.
God bless you and your family
