Fitting in…

It’s a very complicated concept.

Essentially, an objective definition would be “trying to ‘fit in’ a mold peers have built.”

That could be taken to mean that you are trying to literally form yourself after other people – who are just as human as you are, just as human as Adam and Eve were, and just as human as the worst sinner.

Yes, you may have amazing friends. In no way am I judging you or your friends.

But you have to ask yourself, “Am I molding myself after a human mold?”

When you find yourself wanting to have the same hair, clothes, makeup, passion, sport, or any other thing as your friends, you’re working to earn their acceptance.

Colossians 3:23-24 reads in the English Standard Version: “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord…
