As a lot of my recent work has been decidedly *theological* in nature, I’ve decided to take a few moments (though I doubt this will be short) to offer encouragement to any Christians who might be reading this who find themselves in a state of brokenness – passing on the little I’ve learned to any who might happen to need it.

Now, chances are, if you’re Elijah van de Laar, and you’re finally reading this post like two weeks from now, you’re probably poised to send me a devastating critique of that first sentence – specifically to point out that the subject of brokenness, and how we might find healing in Christ, is intensely theological.  In fact, you’ve probably done so without bothering to read the next paragraph.  And you’re right – this post will be intensely theological, because when human suffering is being discussed, the issue of God’s sovereignty…
