Well, here I am again.
I haven’t talked too much about regular everyday life, and for that, I’m sorry. But hopefully I’ll be updating my site more often with personal experiences.
But I have some really great news!!!
Elle Everyday will be having an interview!
This interview will actually be somewhat of a reverse interview. Somebody I met at Mount Paran last spring/summer is really interested in our work, so I have invited her to interview me. I will then be posting the interview on my blog, as she doesn’t have one. So I’m super excited about that!
And I MIGHT be interviewing another one of my friends – but we’ll see 🙂
Meanwhile, we have a new friend named Matthew from our fiasco with our septic system lately – he was the rental guy at the place we rented our equipment at. He introduced us to a wonderful family of missionaries to the Pine Ridge Reservation from Minnesota, and I’ve been having lots of fun with their six kids.
We visited their church on Pine Ridge in Kyle Sunday, then we went over to their military tent place in the town named Pine Ridge.
While there, Anna (11) and I made ourselves a fort of 2x4s and branches sawed by Oscar (10), who did the work in return for admission to the fort. After we grew tired of our retreat, we (Anna, Oscar, and Elijah (7)) set about making toothbrush holders from stout branches with the center drilled out about half-way down. When the wood he was drilling started whipping around on Oscar, it was arranged that I would hold it down while he drilled. No one else was brave enough to do it.
Bad idea.
My wrist soon freaked out and so we traded places. Better idea.
After the excitement of a few injuries, tick bites, and dirt bikes, we set out for home with Matthew.
A lot’s happened since, but I don’t feel like blogging any more 😉
We love y’all!
