We have safely made our way to America!
Who knew so many people spoke English?!?!?
We arrived in Fort Lauderdale about two hours ago on our delayed flight from Managua, which left at 3-something a.m. instead of 1-something. Soooo, we only have five or six more hours until our flight to Atlanta departs at 4-something p.m. this afternoon.
Can I be honest for a sec?
I’m actually not looking forward to returning to the United States.
Not at all.
First of all, the goodbyes were very hard on this end.
Second, I’ve gotten so adjusted to the culture and walking everywhere.
Third, I just now got my bearings around the city.
Fourth, I love Spanish and don’t want to forget what I’ve learned. I’m hoping that if we stay a full three months on our next trip, I’ll be fully conversational or even fluent by the end of it. I’m writing a post on language learning later today, so stay tuned 🙂
And lastly, I don’t want to get adjusted to a nice, complacent, American lifestyle again.
But I know the Lord is calling and we must answer.
And I actually really am looking forward to hugging some of my dearest friends in Georgia and snuggling with my precious dogs once more.
Anyways, thanks for listening to me jabber and for staying updated on our travel plans.
Have a blessed day!
