Our family was so blessed to be able to attend an Adoption Party this Sunday. All of us are adopted and it’s always so much fun to able to see others experience the joys of adding to the family. Adoption is a wonderful thing folks!
My Daddy told me that back in the olden days, a Hebrew family was allowed to adopt a child into their family. While the father was allowed to disown his biological son, he was not permitted to do that to his adopted one. God has a special thing for adoption! We’re all, as Christians, adopted into God’s huge family! We all belong to Jesus and He can never disown us. After all, He’s promised that He will never let us go and I know He never will. There are two beautiful stories in the Bible about adoption! Moses, who was taken in by Pharaoh’s daughter, and Esther, who was taken in by her cousin. Amazing! It makes me feel so special to know that I was adopted by both God and my parents.
